Ren & Stimpy’s taunt, scene, victory screen and more revealed for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

It looks like you didn’t want to be above or behind Nick’s early icons

When the idea for a Nickelodeon Super Smash Bros. started to float, many fans were initially worried that Ren & Stimpy would make the cut for their rudeness and other potential setbacks, but everyone seems pretty happy and cheerful right now.

After the duo received their first trailer for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl earlier this week, GameMill Entertainment released the official gameplay breakdown of Ren & Stimpy, which shows how their bizarre attacks work as well as their taunts, scene and victory screen.

While the big cat and little dog are a bit lacking in the speed department, the developers say they more than make up for that with their unique ability to strike left and right of them at the same time with a number of movements.

Up light, jumping light, jumping light, heavy, jumping heavy, and jumping heavy all seem to have this special quirk that will likely make them very dangerous in matches with more than two players.

Interestingly, Stimpy’s First Fart (Down Special) works as a damage absorber that increases gas pressure for seemingly more damage and range when squeezed twice.

Their scene, Space Madness, is almost reminiscent of the infamous Poké Floats from Super Smash Bros. Melee where the platforms will slowly fly across the screen.

It’s probably not great for camping, given that these platforms start to sink the longer you stand on them.

Ren & Stimpy’s taunt features dancing and scratching while the pair’s victory screen is of course a reference to the iconic Happy Happy Joy Joy dance.

Unfortunately, you will have to listen to the song in your head because it is not in the game it seems.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is slated for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and PC via Steam on October 5.
