After that big win in Tennessee, the big concern heading into this afternoon’s game against West Michigan was whether Pitt would come out with the energy and focus to win? The Panthers came into the game as 14-point favorites, but they didn’t look and play like a two-touchdown favorite. Pitt’s defense couldn’t contain quarterback Kaleb Eleby and his RPO offense and West Michigan’s offensive and defensive lines dominated Pitt’s lines for four quarters.
The Panthers fall to Western Michigan, 44-41 and rightly so, Pitt’s fan base is not happy.
The same old Pitt… only worse. They will never, ever have a better chance of succeeding than this season. And their defense couldn’t even rise to the level of “shitty enough”.

WMU coach Tim Lester said he watched video of the 2015 Syracuse / Pitt game (he was the League’s offensive coordinator) about “300 times” this week.
He said he knew exactly what to expect against Narduzzi.
