“Tech glitch” causes widespread Spectrum cable failure for Hawaii customers

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Spectrum said it was working to restore cable for hundreds of customers across Hawaii after an outage on Saturday morning.

The cable outage began around 10 a.m., leaving customers unable to watch scheduled TV programs for hours.

In a statement, Spectrum said:

“A technical issue causes a temporary disruption of video services for customers in Hawaii. Our engineers strive to restore service as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers. “

Spectrum did not provide a timeline on when the cable will be restored, but said they are currently working to resolve the issue.
