At least six people have been killed and 37 injured, including a 3-year-old boy, in shootings that erupted in Chicago over the weekend, police said.

By noon as of Sunday, Chicago police had responded to at least 35 separate shooting incidents across the city since 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to police incident reports reviewed by ABC News.

Also on Sunday morning, a tow truck driver was shot and killed while providing road service to a customer in the Englewood neighborhood in the south of the city, police said. The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said. No arrests were made in the homicide.

On Saturday, five other men were shot dead within about four hours on Saturday.
