Two women arrested for ripping a “Make America Great Again” hat from a child’s head and destroying Trump signs will escape jail, according to a report.
Camryn Amy and Olivia Winslow will serve probation for the August 20 incident outside the Democratic National Convention in Wilmington, Delaware, as Joe Biden delivers his presidential acceptance speech.
The filmed incident sparked hate messages and death threats for women, according to Winslow’s attorney Thomas A. Foley, the Delaware News Journal reported.

Winslow has “paid a heavy price” since the incident, the lawyer added, noting that threats escalated when a group called Students for Trump tweeted the images of the two Wilmington residents.
The couple had pleaded guilty to charges of theft, endangering children and hate crimes in the incident outside a restaurant in the Wilmington Riverfront. They were sentenced on Friday and are scheduled to undergo anger management and perform 40 hours of community service.
