Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and key defensive play helped the team defeat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, ending Patrick Mahomes’ winning streak in September.
Jackson’s play in the fourth quarter turned out to be the big difference in the 36-35 win.
The quarterback ran for a 2-yard touchdown with 14:13 left in the game. Baltimore’s defense would escalate and force the Chiefs to kick in their next practice.

Jackson continued running and turning around in the end zone to give the Ravens a one point lead.
Baltimore needed a step and it looked like they weren’t going to get one. Three games and Mahomes got the Chiefs offensive at the Baltimore 32-yard line with 2 minutes left in the game. It looked like the team were preparing to slow the clock down and line up for a possible winning basket.
Then the improbable happened.
Offensive bosses Clyde Edwards-Helaire missed the ball and it was picked up by Odafe Oweh.

The Ravens needed a first down to keep training alive and seal the game. John Harbaugh left the decision to Jackson.
The Ravens went for the first through fourth and Jackson pushed and helped Baltimore to the victory.
Jackson was 18-for-26 with 239 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions, including a Pick Six to Tyrann Mathieu to start the game. He managed to run 107 rushing yards with both touchdowns in the fourth quarter. It is also his first victory against the Chiefs.
Marquise Brown was responsible for the only touchdown touchdown. He had six catches for 113 yards.
This is Mahomes’ first loss in September. He entered the game 11-0 in September with 35 touchdown passes and no interceptions. On Sunday, he was 24 for 31 with 343 passing yards, three touchdown passes and a bad interception for Tavon Young.
Mahomes landed a big 46-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce. The big tight winger broke a few tackles and blocked a few touches on the scamper. Kelce led the Chiefs with seven catches for 109 yards and one touchdown. Byron Pringle and Demarcus Robinson also had touchdowns.
