INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) – Online restaurant reservation service OpenTable revealed its top 100 neighborhood gems in America for 2021 and two restaurants in central Indiana were on the list. OpenTable says the places that made its list contribute to the character of their neighborhoods and greet diners with “exceptional hospitality.”

The two Hoosier locations are Iozzo’s Garden of Italy, south of downtown Indianapolis, and The Italian House on Park in Westfield.

Open Table says the restaurants that made their list offer alfresco dining and have safe dining practices.

“Now is the time to ‘dine’ with safety in mind,” said Debby Soo, CEO of OpenTable. “With the right precautions, we want people to go back to their favorite restaurants and support local businesses while enjoying the latter part of summer.”

The list of winners was determined after analyzing internal data generated only from restaurant reviews collected between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. All restaurants with a minimum “overall” score and a number of reviews qualifiers have been included for review.

In addition to the restaurant gems, OpenTable has released survey data showing an increased desire to support eateries and eateries. It says almost half (47%) plan to dine at a restaurant at least once a week over the next three months.

“It’s been an exhausting year and a half for the restaurant industry, so it’s encouraging to see people keen to dine again and support their local restaurants,” Soo said.

Only 24 states and the District of Columbia had restaurants to make the list. Click here to see the full blog.
