Nicole Kidman talks about some of the difficult conversations she had with her young daughters Faith Margaret, 10, and Sunday Rose, 13, while filming HBO’s Big Little Lies.
The 54-year-old actress played Celeste Wright in the critically acclaimed series, which was in an abusive marriage to Perry Wright (Alexander Skarsgard).
Kidman explained in an extensive interview with Harper’s Bazaar that while sometimes filming the intense scenes with her on-screen husband, she would come home with bruises that she would have to explain to her young daughters.

“I guess the artist’s mind often says, ‘I don’t care what it’s going to cost me as a human being, because my push is deeply artistic,” says Kidman.
