Rob Gronkowski joined Peyton and Eli Manning on the ESPN2 show of Monday night football this week, and the tight end of Tampa was delivered to the broadcast booth like it does every Sunday.
Monday’s segment as the Packers hosted the Lions featured Gronkowski in classic form, with a constant stream of jokes dotting the show. Probably Gronkowski’s best joke came when the topic of film study came up, with Gronkowski noting “I don’t watch a movie.”
“My teammate [Cameron] Brate just asked me the other day, ‘Rob, I have a serious question: do you ever watch a movie?’ “Gronkowski told the Manning brothers. I’m just running around by guys, if i feel good, i feel good.
“So I don’t watch a movie. I watch a movie when the crew shows it.”
Luckily for Gronkowski, it looks like his quarterback has it covered in the film department. And when Sunday comes, just a note or two can do the trick.
“I go to Tom [Brady], because I know Tom looks like I don’t know, 40 hours of film a week, “said Gronkowski.”[I’ll ask], Tom, who’s covering me and what kind of covering are they doing? ‘”
Gronkowski’s film-less lifestyle appears to be paying off so far in 2021. He has scored four touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season, continuing to build his resume into what is guaranteed to be a career at the Temple. of fame.
