Authorities in Florida said Tuesday they were “actively” investigating camera footage of deer that captured a hiker looking like Gabby Petito’s missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, walking in the wilderness.

Sam Bass said he spotted the man carrying a backpack at 6:17 a.m. Monday in the town of Baker, Fla., About 500 miles from Laundrie’s home in North Port.

“I’m not saying it’s the guy but the one that was on my surveillance camera this morning in Baker, Fl fits Brian Laundrie’s description perfectly,” Bass wrote on Facebook. “Authorities have been contacted, but residents of the Northwest Florida area are on the lookout. “

Laundrie, who is a person of interest in Petito’s disappearance, was reported missing by her parents on Friday.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over Baker, has confirmed it is investigating the possible sighting.

“We are aware of this and are actively checking it,” Sheriff spokeswoman Michele Nicholson told The Post on Tuesday, adding: “At this time, there is no confirmation.”

Social media detectives, however, pointed out that the man’s backpack was similar to the one pictured in Laundrie’s Instagram stories.

“Looks like the guy in the Sam Bass video in Baker, Fla. Has the same backpack as Brian Laundrie. Could it really be him? wrote a Twitter user.

Laundrie’s parents told authorities he left home with a backpack to hike the area and never returned.

Search teams were looking for him on Tuesday in the Carlton Reservation in Sarasota County, where he allegedly abandoned his Ford Mustang.

The laundry hunt comes after authorities on Sunday found a body believed to be Petito’s in the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming.
