Kena: Bridge of Spirits PS4 players report revolutionary bug when using Taro mask

It appears that the PlayStation 4 version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits suffers from one or two nasty issues on release day, as users report that a revolutionary bug encountered while using the Taro Mask interrupts their progress. At the time of writing, no one seems to have encountered the issue on PS5. The mask is used to progress through the main story, and PS4 users find it difficult to remove it from Kena’s face once it’s no longer needed. The camera gets stuck in the first person perspective and makes the game essentially unplayable.

It seems the only way to fix the bug is to reload your save, but, of course, there’s just as much a chance you’ll run into the problem again when the Taro Mask is needed later in the story. The issue is being reported enough on the internet that developer Ember Lab is probably already aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Until then, however, it looks like PS4 gamers will have to put up with this flaw.

Our own Push Square user, Shigurui, also encountered the problem, writing on the forum, “You cannot remove it when equipped, the camera panics and gets stuck in first person mode. This completely stops the progress of the game. How it was not. caught is amazing. Stuck with a digital coaster until fixed. Very unimpressed. “Are you also having issues with this bug?
