Mac Jones has been solid in his first two starts in the NFL. He was efficient and put the ball where it needs to go to allow this team to succeed. If you search the soccer dictionary for “game manager”, you might soon see his face printed there. Jones is in the best possible position of all the rookie quarterbacks and you have to give him credit for taking advantage of his opportunities.

He did not throw any choice and he completes nearly 74% of his passes. It’s perfect for what Belichick wants his rookie quarterback to do. They’ll rely on defense and running play to secure victories this season and Jones only has to play when asked to do so.

So far, he’s doing pretty well.
