Gabby Petito case renews case to find 24-year-old geologist

Gabby Petito’s widely publicized search and recovery mission has renewed authorities’ request to locate a young geologist who went missing in the Arizona desert two months ago.

Daniel Robinson, 24, was last seen on June 23, leaving his job site in the western suburbs of Phoenix, according to The Arizona Republic.

Robinson reportedly left work in a blue Jeep Renegade that morning and didn’t tell anyone where he was going.

His Jeep was found a month later overturned in a ravine with the airbags deployed. Robinson’s cell phone, wallet and keys were found at the scene, the report said.

Her family started an online petition to hold local investigators at the Buckeye Police Department to account two weeks ago. As of Tuesday evening, the petition had collected 15,000 signatures.

“From the first day I arrived in Phoenix, Arizona, I did more to locate my son than law enforcement, whose jurisdictional authority covers the location where he was last seen and where his vehicle was collected, “wrote Father David Robinson.

Robinson wrote that he had conducted six searches in the wilderness and claimed that a private investigator told him the Jeep crash may have been staged and the vehicle was driven after impact.

“My public research is drawing to a close, and the Buckeye Police Department has a responsibility to continue. This petition will ensure that happens.

On Thursday, the department released a statement saying, “Buckeye Police continue to analyze evidence and explore leads.”

Investigators said a human skull recovered near the crash site did not belong to Robinson and other bones recovered nearby belonged to animals.

On Sunday, a Tweeter who reminded the public that her case went viral after authorities announced they discovered what was later confirmed to be Petito’s remains in a Wyoming national park.

“As we watch this case unfold, please take 5 seconds to read up on Daniel Robinson, a geologist who disappeared in the wilderness outside of Buckeye three months ago,” wrote Shayla Davis. “His father is still looking for him.

Over a thousand people donated $ 50,000 to an online fundraiser sponsored by David Robinson.

“Daniel has an innate passion for adventure and is known for traveling [at] untimely moments. However, he still communicates with his friends and family about his travel plans, ”the site read.

The field geologist is 5 ″ 8 ′ tall and has no forearm or right hand, the fundraiser said.

There are approximately 17,000 unresolved active missing persons cases in the United States, according to the World Population Review.
