Britney Spears talks about an area of her life that she rarely talks about publicly: being a mom.
The “Toxic” singer, 39, took to Instagram on Tuesday night to talk about her two sons Jayden James, 15, and Sean Preston, 16, in honor of their recent birthdays.
“My boys’ birthdays were last week … and unfortunately they are growing up and wanting to do their own things … I have to ask their permission to post them as they are extremely independent little men !!!” Spears wrote in his caption.
The pop star revealed that she hosted a “little party” with her sons in honor of their birthdays, which are two days apart, with “the coolest frozen cakes.”

She also explained how moved she was to see them grow old.
“It drives me crazy because they are so big and damn they are still growing !!! They went dancing last week and I cried for two days my babies in suits !!! It’s crazy !!! And the girls are getting ready because my boys are so beautiful !!! “
Spears’ post included a quote that read: “There is nothing stronger than the love between a mother and her son.”

“I really believe in this quote, that’s why I wanted to share it… there are a lot of things that I can’t share with all of you because my kids are very private which I love, but I will say they’re both extremely talented and I’m so incredibly blessed to have these two little men in my life !!! And if they’re reading this … which I’m sure they are not … I love you so much, two little devils !!! “
Spears’ post about her boys is one of many posted to her account recently following the star’s Instagram hiatus. The singer, who recently announced her engagement with longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari, deactivated his account a week ago.
“Don’t worry folks… I’m just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement !!!!” the “Piece of Me” singer tweeted last Tuesday. “I come back soon.”

She reactivated her account on Monday and shared photos from a weekend in Palm Springs to celebrate her engagement. “I still can’t believe it !!!” Spears wrote at the time online. “I couldn’t stay away from the gram for too long so I’m already back !!!!”
In March, she shared a carousel of photos of herself and her sons on social media. At the time, she explained that she didn’t post a lot of pictures of them “because they’re at an age where they want to express their own identity and I totally understand”.
Spears shares Jayden James and Sean Preston with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Over the past several months, the parents have managed to keep the two teens out of the spotlight despite the huge amount of attention Spears’ guardianship case has received.

Tuesday, Netflix announced his next doc, “Britney vs. Spears. “ The project will examine the pop Starthe guardianship of, which was put in place in 2008 after its public break-up. The teaser for the documentary contains the alleged audio of a voicemail message Spears left with a lawyer on Jan. 21, 2009 at 12:21 a.m.
“Hi, my name is Britney Spears, I called you earlier”, the singer can be heard say. “Calling back because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of removing guardianship…” The sound is muted before viewers receive additional information about the call.
