“We searched all morning,” Doocy said, “and found no record of his visit to the border as president, vice-president, senator or even as a concerned citizen.”
Doocy later continued: “He is a president who makes it his duty, when there are disasters in this country, like a forest fire or a hurricane, to go and see for himself what the needs are. from the local community so he can have an informed POV to make a policy. Doocy was referring to the wave of illegal immigration in recent days in Del Rio, where thousands of migrants who have crossed Mexico await their treatment at the international bridge.
“Well first of all, Peter, I think the situation at the border is the result of a faulty system,” Psaki replied. “And the president certainly draws on his experience. So whether it was the work he did to tackle root causes as vice president, his efforts when he was in the Senate to support reform global immigration.… He uses all his experiences to explain how he governs, how he tackles challenges. “
“Has Joe Biden ever been to the border? That’s a question the President must answer, presiding over the most catastrophic border crisis in decades,” Republican National Committee Chairman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. press release after the press briefing.
McDaniel added that RNC researchers were also unable to identify any examples of Biden visiting the border.
