“Britney vs. Spears” is coming to Netflix and is expected to reveal “confidential” information about the singer’s 13-year guardianship.

The streaming service released a full trailer Wednesday for the new documentary, which releases September 28.

“It’s been 13 years and that’s enough,” can we hear Spears’ voice in the teaser.

The film is directed by Erin Lee Carr and has been in the works for 18 months, although it was released after the FX documentary “Framing Britney Spears”.

“This is a two-and-a-half-year guardianship investigative process,” Carr told the Los Angeles Times. “There’s been an incredible amount of coverage, but it’s really taking a long time to focus on that. We wanted to be the definitive place to understand the beginning, the middle, and hopefully what we’ll find out at the end of this saga.

The teaser features interview voiceovers in which people discuss the 39-year-old’s family struggles and issues. “Britney never had someone she could trust. Not mom. Not daddy, ”one person said in the trailer. Another added: “Britney was afraid her family would come in and take it all.”

While Spears’ family has nothing to do with the Netflix documentary – “No one would talk,” a voice says – it will feature other players who know the pop star’s issues, including a “very close to the guardianship ”who“ fled ”a“ confidential report ”.

One of the voices is that of Spears’ ex, paparazzi Adnan Ghalib, as well as a lawyer and medical professional. Netflix has also released photos, according to Variety, of Spears’ former assistant Felicia Culotta.

“The world knows Britney Spears: performer, artist, icon,” reads the official summary of Netflix. “But in recent years, his name has been publicly linked to another more mysterious term: guardianship.”

“Britney vs. Spears” tells the explosive story of Britney’s life and her public and private quest for freedom. Showcasing years of investigative work, exclusive interviews and new material, this Netflix feature film paints a detailed portrait of the pop star’s trajectory, from the girl next door to a woman trapped by celebrity and the family and its own legal status. It shows Britney’s life without using the traumatic images that previously defined it, ”the synopsis continues.

The first teaser was released yesterday and showed an audio recording of the singer leaving a message to her lawyer in 2009.

The father of the mother-of-two, Jamie Spears, has been in charge of her estate and finances since 2008. He filed a petition earlier this month to end the guardianship.

The next court date in the “Toxic” singer’s case is scheduled for September 29.
