There were a lot of questions about the Seattle Seahawks heading into this week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, and sadly, a lot of them got really bad answers this week. Here’s how some notable Seahawks deal with loss.
Carlos Dunlap said the team were frustrated and disappointed with today’s game. “We know we have a lot more capabilities than what we have shown, but we have to go.” pic.twitter.com/rkicm00Ku3

Pete Carroll: “It was a really tough game for us.” He seemed open to changes in defense personnel, especially at CB. Ugo Amadi’s penalty shouldn’t have been as expensive as it was. Said Tyler Lockett seems to be OK. On the 1-2 rebound: “We have to stay together.”

While Tre Flowers and DJ Reed weren’t available on the podium, a few reporters tracked them down and asked a few questions about the players’ path to the team bus, and the two have a lot to say about the game. The fact that the two cite pattern confusions is a worrying sign for the job security of Ken Norton Jr. and the other defensive coaches.
Tre Flowers, asked if #Seahawks‘The last two games in defense are worrying: “Regarding? No, not all of them. It’s a 17-game season. It’s a long way. We’re going to fix anything, and get back to work.”

DJ Reed said that in addition to all of the other issues related to the pattern, coverage and stopping of the race, #Seahawks “There were a few games where we obviously didn’t communicate and we just gave them a free game. You know, you have to make the offense work for that, especially on the third try.”

Interesting comments from Tre Flowers on the Seattle pass defense: “It’s a schematic thing, I feel like. I have my own questions to ask. He said there was some confusion among some guys on how to defend certain roads. “It will be an easy fix once we’re all on the same page.”

Asked what he and the defense need to do to deliver big high school games, Tre Flowers said, “No more movies. More film studies. Following…
“Unfortunately, you all want me to be Sherman.” #Seahawks

DJ Reed says of the Vikings that “they plotted our ass.” Said defensive players have met before and talked about making sure they stay together.

We had some really serious injuries with Tyler Lockett and Jordyn Brooks, both of which went well, but the Seahawks did not come out of Minneapolis unscathed.
Carroll said Marquise Blair hit her knee during the week and they thought he was okay, but in pre-game warm-ups he “just wasn’t feeling well”. which earned him a late elimination.

To wrap up, Pete Carroll has been extremely critical of the defense, hinting that the team is set to return to the drawing board this week ahead of next Sunday’s game against San Francisco.
Carroll says “we threw everything at them” defensively.
