The Panthers lost first-round pick Jaycee Horn for months when he broke his foot in Thursday’s win over the Texans and they are looking to replace him in the roster on Monday.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Panthers are finalize a transaction with the Jaguars bringing cornerback CJ Henderson to Carolina. The Panthers will trade tight end Dan Arnold and a third-round pick in Jacksonville and the Jags will send a fifth-round pick with Henderson.

Henderson was the ninth overall pick in the 2020 Draft and made eight starts as a rookie before being placed in the injured reserve. He started the first two games of this season, but did not play against Arizona on Sunday due to a groin injury. Henderson also lacked time during camp to deal with personal issues.

There have been rumors this summer about the Saints’ interest in a Henderson deal, but nothing has come of those talks. Things have gone further with the Panthers and Henderson is now set to move to the NFC South for the remainder of his second season in the NFL.
