Dave Bautista adopts abused puppy and offers $ 5,000 reward to find abuser

Dave Bautista gave an abused puppy a new home and offered a reward of $ 5,000 to find the abuser.

The Dune star, 52, shared an Instagram post last week that featured heartbreaking photos of the injured dog.

“ATTN Tampa Bay: I will personally hand over $ 5,000 in cash to whoever gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the patient responsible for this,” Dave wrote in the caption.

“In addition, @humanesocietytampabay is also offering $ 1,500,” he continued. “If you know anything, please contact @humanesocietytampabay or @ safek9.”

in all three images Dave posted, the puppy was seen squatting on an examination table with a chain hanging from its neck.

A particularly heartbreaking shot showed the chain embedded in the skin of the dog’s neck, which was red and inflamed.

The puppy was being cared for at the Humane Society in Tampa Bay, where her name was Sage. The organization had shared the details of Sage’s story on September 16 in a Facebook post with the photos which were later reposted by David.

The message read, “Sage was just brought to us with an encrusted metal chain… hanging from her neck. We are currently preparing her for surgery to remove the chain.”

“A Good Samaritan was driving on the way home and saw Sage eating garbage at Home Cemetery. She stopped and Sage immediately ran towards her. She put Sage in the car and rushed over to HSTB.

“Sage is only 3 months old. She is very sweet and friendly. Although she was in tremendous pain, Sage wagged her tail on the examining table as our vet and vet techs examined her.

“In addition to the channel, we noticed that Sage had skin problems and overgrown nails. We can’t imagine who would do this to him. Please send our best wishes to Sage while she undergoes her operation. We will keep you posted on the development of Sage once its operation is complete. ‘

Bautista noticed the post and shared Sage’s sad story on his Instagram page. His post went viral, Jeffrey Dean Morgan offered to contribute $ 500, and Mickey Rourke paid an additional $ 1,000 to find the abuser.

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor provided his followers with an Instagram update on Sunday. He shared a video with the caption: Sage was horribly abused and left for dead. Here is its update. In the video, Dave was seen sitting next to SafeK9 founder and dog trainer Luis Safe. Bautista continued, “My brother here Luis from SafeK9, who trains my dogs, helped me out and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay also offered $ 1,500 for information leading to this person’s arrest and conviction.”

He explained that Florida-based law firm Alvarez Injury Law also paid $ 5,000.

“So it’s $ 11,500 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of this person,” Dave continued.

“The bad news is that we don’t really have any solid leads at the moment. We are trying to take this person responsible.

He went on to say that the puppy who was “horribly abused and needs surgery” is now recovering.

“But the good news is that today the puppy you know as Sage has actually become Penny Bautista. So I would like to introduce you to the new member of my family / ‘

An HSTB employee then gave Penny to Bautista, who cradled the puppy in her arms.

“Oh, there she is! Healing well and recovered, ”he said.

“She’s a Bautista now,” Dave said as he hugged and stroked Penny. “She will never be mistreated again in a day of her life, not a second in her life. She’s about to live her best puppy life.

“Sage is now Penny Bautista and she has her forever at home,” he concluded.

Penny will join Dave’s two pit bulls, Maggie and Ollie.

The HSTB celebrated Penny’s adoption on Facebook. The organization’s CEO, Sherry Silk, told the Tampa Bay Times. “This dog was found abandoned in a graveyard eating garbage and returned home in Dave Bautista’s Rolls Royce.”
