Amazon unveiled the Amazon smart thermostat during its Launch event 2021 by invitation only Tuesday. The $ 60 smart device works with Alexa, according to Dave Limp, Amazon’s senior vice president for devices and services. The Amazon Smart Thermostat is available for pre-order now and is slated for release on November 4.
Alexa can automatically adjust your temperature preferences depending on whether you are at home or not. You can also set up Alexa routines with your smart thermostat. For example, you can set up a “good night” routine and Alexa will turn down the heating or cooling in your house.

The unit was created in partnership with Resideo, manufacturer of Honeywell Home thermostats, and is designed to keep your home at a comfortable temperature without compromising energy efficiency. Additionally, Limp says the smart thermostat will work with most existing HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).
The smart thermostat is Amazon’s first such device, supporting products from Google’s Nest brand, Ecobee and its partner Honeywell.
Amazon did not broadcast its presentation live to the general public, but in invitations which came out last week, the company promised attendees “news from our latest amazon devices, features and services. ”Last year’s event included Echo and Echo Dot redesigned speakers, the Always Home Camera Ring Drone, and one rotating smart screen.
