1. Play Sergio? Conventional wisdom would say it is difficult to back Sergio Garcia this week as he will be exhausted by the Whistling Strait. However, he has a lot going for him. First, he won here just over a year ago. Plus, he’s leading this area from tee to green in his last 20 laps. Finally, he performs almost well in the post-Ryder Cup starts, although most of them certainly didn’t come in the week after that event.

It’s not the best field, but the Sanderson is in a tough spot. Without Garcia’s victory last year, it’s unlikely any of the players from either Ryder Cup team would show up. Still, you get some really good young talent from guys like Will Zalatoris, Matthew Wolff, and Sam Burns. All three could be part of the next Ryder Cup squad when the event takes place in Rome in 2023, and all three are potential winners of this event.
