Bill Belichick: If someone can play to 50, Tom Brady probably can

Tom Brady recently hinted that he would like to play another two or three years, but Bill Belichick thinks he can play even longer.

Belichick said he could see Brady reach 50 which would mean playing in the 2027 season.

“Nothing that Tom surprises me,” Belichick said, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “He’s a great player, he works hard, takes care of himself. He talked about playing until he was 50. If anyone can do it, they probably can. Tom has had an incredible career. There aren’t enough superlatives and adjectives to compliment him on everything he has accomplished and continues to accomplish. It is incredibly impressive.

At 44, Brady is already by far the oldest player in the NFL. If he plays 50, he could be a decade older than any other player. But Belichick is right: if anyone can do it, Brady can.
