They come in fun colors depending on where you buy them
Sony tends to grab the headlines with the WF and WH series of headphones, at the top of the game for active noise-canceling headphones and around-the-ear cans, respectively. But if you’re not ready to give up so much on these accessories, the company has a whole range of alternatives ready for you. Today he’s announcing two new ones: the true wireless headphones WF-C500 and the on-ear headphones WH-XB910N.
The WF-C500 heads forgo active noise cancellation to allow for a design that’s a bit smaller, a bit cheaper and a bit sportier. Sony gave them IPX4 water resistance to deter a few splashes of sweat, as well as compatibility with Google Assistant and Siri. They’re quoted an impressive 10 hour play time on their own, but due to its extremely compact size, the charging case only gets one charge for a 20 hour tide play time.
Buds can provide 360 Reality Audio if you can find content compatible with it. They are also ready for Google Fast Pair on your phone and Swift Pair on Windows. They are available for pre-order in black, white, green, and orange, although some colors are exclusive to specific retailers: white for Amazon, green for Best Buy, and orange for Target. They are expected to ship in just over a week, October 8.
The WH-XB910N headphones (which just stick out the tongue, don’t they?) Feature the same technology, but they have room for dual noise sensor active noise cancellation. They also use adaptive sound control to monitor your surroundings and adjust playback accordingly. The on-the-go touch controls should be familiar to anyone who’s tried the WH-1000 series, for better or for worse. The headphones can last up to 30 hours on a charge, although life with ANC turned on was not mentioned. They’ll retail for $ 250 when they go on sale October 8, offered in Black, Blue (Amazon Exclusive), and Gray (Best Buy Exclusive).
