Eyebrows have been raised and an opinion has been taken regarding the stellar game presented by Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in the first three weeks of the season.
Now accolades have been won.
For the first time in his career, Carr was named the AFC’s offensive player of the month, as the league revealed on Thursday.
Carr led the Raiders to a 3-0 start, the franchise’s first since 2002. After three games, he averaged over 400 yards per outing, throwing for 1,203 yards and six touchdowns against just two interceptions. Carr completed 88 of 136 passes (64.7%) and scored 101.4.
