Even though the schedule just changed in October, the Seahawks find themselves in the undesirable position of potentially falling far behind the leaders of the NFC West Division at the start of the season.
Clearly, now is not the time to panic for a team that has made the playoffs in each of the past three seasons, but Thursday’s injury report ahead of the 49ers showdown isn’t exactly. what the fans are hoping for.
So the good news for the receiver is that rookie Dee Eskridge is back in training, even as a limited participant. The bad news is that the team’s main receiver, Tyler Lockett, missed practice with a hip injury. This could prove crucial in the weeks to come, as the Hawks could potentially face two of their Premier League opponents with one of their most dangerous offensive weapons limited or unavailable.
Regardless, right tackle Brandon Shell also did not practice Thursday due to his ankle injury. Jamarco Jones and Jake Curhan parted ways in the right tackle last week, but both had their hands full most of the game with Danielle Hunter. Shell’s status will obviously be something to watch in the coming days as 49ers defensive linemen Nick Bosa, Arik Armstaead Dee Ford and Kentavius Street lick their chops at the prospect of facing Jones or Curhan.
