Zoë Kravitz becomes frank about her emotions during a divorce.
The actor and musician separated from his ex-husband, Karl Glusman, late last year after 18 months of marriage.
In a rare statement about the separation, Zoë says she turned to music to help him deal with her emotions, working with Jack Antonoff on his solo album.
“For him, wanting to help me realize what I’m hearing in my head has been a really wonderful and very therapeutic experience,” Zoë told Another magazine.
She went on to say that since the album was written over a long period of time, it captured a “range of emotions” which was “interesting to look back on”.
“It’s personal. It’s about love and loss. I got married. I divorced. The separations, the breakups are sad but they are also beautiful things”, explained Zoë.
She continued, “It’s about the bittersweet, that beginning and that ending. It’s so complex, that space, when you’re between heartbroken and grieving the loss of something and excited. for what awaits you. “
As Zoë has moved past her grief, she says she is now in a “great place” and enjoying her 30s, which means “knowing what real fun is, not just the idea of s. ‘have fun’ and do it all.
