Apple Watch Series 7 could start shipping in mid-October

More than two weeks after Apple proudly unveiled its new Apple Watch Series 7, fans still haven’t got their hands on the device. That’s because the company hasn’t released a specific release date, cryptically saying the device will be “Available later this fall”. It could change.

Apple leaker Jon Prosser, whose information can sometimes be quite uneven, say it Home page technology Thursday that Series 7 would start shipping in mid-October. Prosser cited several anonymous sources familiar with the watch’s upcoming release schedule and explained that pre-orders could begin as early as next week. Additionally, the leaker claims that Apple has informed the press that it should expect more information on Apple Watch will be reviewing the units in the coming weeks.

While Prosser’s announcement should be taken with caution, there is another possibility the indication that his the information could be legitimate.

Last week a Twitter user posted a message it has reportedly received from customer service at Hermès, which plans to offer its own Apple Watch models again this year, in response to an apparent demand on when the luxury brand’s Apple Watch Series 7 device would be available.

Apple Watch Series 7 pre-orders will begin on October 8, Hermès replied. If we trust Hermès’ word, Prosser’s pre-order date and shipping date mid-October could be plausible.

The Series 7 is Apple’s most significant redesign since its launch in 2015. The screen is one of the most notable changes. There are two case sizes: 41mm and 45mm, an increase from 40mm and 44mm, respectively. The watch also has smaller bezels, allowing for a larger screen and a full QWERTY keyboard.
