The executive will leave next summer; Laura Miele, Director of Studios, to assume COO role as search for new CFO begins
Blake Jorgensen is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer and COO of Electronic Arts, the company said today in a filing with the SEC.
Jorgensen has worked at the publisher for nearly a decade and will begin to move away from those roles with a definitive departure slated for summer 2022.
Laura Miele, Head of EA Studios, will take on Jorgensen’s COO role, as the company begins an external and internal search to find its next CFO.
“Laura has successfully led EA Studios with strong strategic and operational discipline, and she will bring that focus and rigor across the company as COO,” said Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA.
Additionally, Chris Bruzzo, EA’s executive vice president of marketing, commerce and positive play, became the director of corporate experience, a position that Wilson said required “directing our efforts to create social ecosystems that forge stronger bonds and create incredible player experiences in and around our games. . “
