Friday’s “first call” features the latest injury news for the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Green Bay Packers. Ticket prices for this game at Lambeau Field are skyrocketing. The Patriots-Buccaneers showdown even leaves Tom Brady’s dad dizzy.
And a few recent opponents for the Steelers are getting top honors.
Ticket discussion
It could be the last clash between Ben Roethlisberger and Aaron Rodgers. This is the Steelers’ first visit to Green Bay since 2013, so tickets are in high demand.
According to TickPick, the average buy price is $ 411, making it the Packers’ most expensive home game this year. It is the second most expensive ticket of the week after the clash between Pats and Bucs. These tickets cost $ 1,184 to witness Tom Brady’s return to Foxborough.
TickPick reports that Steelers fans appear to be traveling in healthy numbers with 24% of purchases having a PA zip code.
A family matter
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was not thrilled when his father intervened with a pop-up chat against New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick ahead of the two teams’ showdown this weekend.
“Belichick wanted him out, and last year he threw (50) touchdowns. I think it’s a pretty good year, ”said Tom Sr. on the“ Patriots Talk ”podcast.
Brady would prefer his dear old daddy to tone down the “How do you like him now?” »Attitude.
Appearing on the latest “Let’s Go!” podcast, Brady joked:
“I actually prepared a statement that I wanted to say, and that’s really all I have to say on the subject. The words of Thomas Edward Brady, CEO of a 77-year-old insurance company, who should educate himself better at this point in his life, do not necessarily reflect the opinions or positions held by his son, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. ., if Tom Sr. continues to speak on behalf of his son without express written consent, Junior reserves the right to potentially place him in a home against his will. That’s all I have to say. “

It looks like Brady Jr. was joking …
… it seems.
On a hot streak
The Steelers have had a tough few weeks. They were upset losers to the Cincinnati Bengals and Las Vegas Raiders at Heinz Field.
But at least they were losing to guys who played top notch football.
Vegas quarterback Derek Carr was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month in September. Cincy wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been named AFC Rookie of the Month.
The two played against the Steelers en route to their awards. In Week 2, Carr was 28 of 37 for 382 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions for a score of 126.2.
Chase has four touchdowns on wide receiver, more than all of the other rookie receivers combined. Two of them came to Heinz Field last Sunday.

Chase also hit a touchdown of over 30 yards in each of his first three games in the NFL.
Pack back has back pain
On Thursday, the Packers made two changes to their injury report ahead of their game against the Steelers on Sunday.
Via PackersWire.com, starting linebacker Krys Barnes returned to training as a limited participant, as he continues to follow concussion protocol. Meanwhile, running back AJ Dillon was added with back disease.
The Packers still haven’t recovered from left tackle Elgton Jenkins (ankle). Receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstrings) and cornerback Kevin King (concussion) were also absent.
As for the Steelers, wide receiver Chase Claypool was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury. All-Pro edge rusher TJ Watt (groin), veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (pec) and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (knee) were all full participants. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (ribs) was limited.
