Tesla bulls (TSLA) show bullish outlook for third quarter 2021 deliveries

With the end of the third quarter of 2021, the Tesla Bulls (NASDAQ: TSLA) are now sharing their estimates for the company’s vehicle deliveries in the third quarter of 2021. From Wall Street analysts to seasoned retail investors who have been following the company closely since TSLA bulls seem to be expecting impressive third quarter results for years.

Wall Street’s consensus for the third quarter is currently 222,000 vehicle deliveries. Bullish analysts such as RBC Capital Markets analyst Joseph Spak, however, expect Tesla to release deliveries of 233,500 vehicles instead. If Spak’s estimate turns out to be correct, that will translate to a 67% year-over-year increase.

The same goes for Alexander Potter, analyst at Piper Sandler, who raised his delivery estimate for Tesla in the third quarter to 233,000 vehicles. The analyst noted that his estimates are driven by the company’s strong production, adding that he believes “the third quarter will be TSLA’s strongest quarter on record.”

Retail investors who are veterans of TSLA stock have also released their estimates, and they’re just as bullish as those shared by analysts at RBC and Piper Sandler. Greedy TSLA Watcher @TroyTeslike, for example, noted that its final estimate for the third quarter of 2021 is 235,000 vehicle deliveries. Bull TSLA also estimated that the company could deliver a total of 858,000 vehicles by 2021.

Rob Maurer from Tesla Daily Podcast was more optimistic, noting on Twitter that he estimated the company would deliver 247,000 vehicles in the third quarter of 2021. The Future Fund Managing Partner Gary Black, on the other hand, was more cautious, estimating total deliveries of 230,000 vehicles, which is still above the Wall Street consensus.

Tesla has set the bar high for the third quarter of 2021. The company has indicated in the past that it intends to increase its deliveries by 50% this year. It was an ambitious target given that 2020 saw Tesla deliver half a million vehicles during the year. For the company to meet its target, it would need to ensure it delivers around 750,000 vehicles in 2021. Tesla has already delivered around 386,000 cars in the first half of the year, leaving the company to target 364,000 deliveries between the third. quarter and Q4 2021.
