The Game Awards – and all the expected revelations that come with it – are back this year. Geoff Keighley’s annual event will be an in-person ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on December 9. Once again, the developers will come together as Keighley rewards the best games of 2021 and reveals some upcoming projects for 2022 and beyond. The event is by invitation only and the coordinators will unveil health and safety protocols at a later date.

The Game Awards have grown exponentially each year and saw 83 million livestreams in 2020. The Game Awards 2021 will also offer a 4K livestream for free, just like last year. “We are very happy to return to the Microsoft Theater for a special evening to celebrate the past, present and future of video games,” Keighley said of the 2021 event. “Our goal is to bring everyone together community to celebrate the world’s most powerful form of entertainment and recognize the emerging voices that represent the future of media. “

Last year’s The Game Awards event was completely digital, but revealed Sephiroth’s turn Smash, Xbox Dark perfect reboot, tease for the new Mass Effect and Dragon Age games, It takes two, Arch 2, and more.

This year we were expecting a new trailer for Ancient ring, God of War: Ragnarok, and something odd about Hideo Kojima’s annual appearance.
