An autopsy revealed that Abraha, who had arrest warrants for his arrest in Fulton County, had been fatally mutilated by the dogs. Authorities believe he broke into the house and encountered the animals, but an investigation is underway, WAGA reported.

No charges will be filed against the owner, although the fate of his canine companions is unclear.

“The dogs have been turned over to animal control and nothing has been determined as to what will happen next to them,” Nix told the station.
