PS5 and PS4 games coming for October and November 2021

Ready for the silly season? The first few months of 2021 are going to look happy when you realize how many top-notch games are coming to PlayStation 5 and PS4 over the next few weeks. October and November are chock-full of headlines, big and small, that you’ll want to watch out for, so let’s waste no more time and go straight to it, right? Here’s everything coming to PS5 and PS4 in the next couple of months.

It’s the football game! Well, the big one at least. FIFA 22 is this year’s embodiment of the annual football simulation, implementing significant changes in gameplay and animation. HyperMotion technology and physics and AI changes make it a more realistic soccer game. You may or may not participate in this type of game, but this year’s FIFA is a step forward where it counts.

The Far Cry series is very popular and it’s not hard to see why. Chaotic open worlds full of dangers and opportunities to blow things up, these huge shooters provide silly great fun and generally deliver. Far Cry 6 takes the action to Yara, a fictional island on the brink of revolution due to the actions of a tyrannical leader. Expect crazy weapons, animal companions, and plenty of explosions.

This holiday season is full of great first-person shooters, and that of course includes this year’s Call of Duty. This time we return to World War II, with a campaign that follows the stories of the first group of Special Forces soldiers. Cinematic story combined with all the multiplayer you know and love should make another top-notch shooter.

Battlefield 2042 is another great FPS coming to PS5 and PS4. Taking the action in a near-future setting, this is a multiplayer game only with an emphasis on large-scale firefights. While all of the classic Battlefield modes are included, this entry also includes Battlefield Portal, allowing players to create their own maps and modes and share them with the community, and Hazard Zone, an intense cooperative mode. This one seems crammed with interesting ways to play.
