White House says Biden’s proposals to North Korea are ignored by Kim as regime continues missile testing

President Biden’s proposals to North Korea have been ignored by dictator Kim Jong Un as his regime continues its barrage of missile tests, the White House revealed.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the administration’s reaction to North Korea’s second missile test in a week, as well as reports that the country is preparing to reopen direct communication with South Korea at Friday’s daily press conference.

Psaki told reporters that the Biden administration had not received a response from the North Koreans despite its contacts with the Kim regime.

“In our approach, as I think I’ll start here, we have made specific proposals for discussion with the North Koreans but have not received a response to date,” Psaki said, adding that the White House remains. “prepared to discuss the full range of issues.”

“I think that with regard to the recent incident – the missile launches to which you refer – we are, of course, aware of these reports”, continued the press secretary. “We are evaluating the specific nature of these launch events.”

Psaki added that the administration “issued statements from the Defense Ministry and others in response to them.”

North Korea announced this week that it is preparing to reopen a direct line of communication with its southern counterpart.

The move, however, was underscored by rapid weapons testing by the Kim regime, amid claims it has successfully tested a hypersonic missile that could have nuclear capabilities.

North Korea too claims Friday for successfully testing a new, more advanced anti-aircraft missile.
