The man identified as the main suspect in his disappearance, Armando Caballero, was found dead Monday of an apparent suicide.
Caballero was a maintenance worker at the Arden Villa apartments where Marcano lived and worked in the rental office.
The deputies obtained an arrest warrant for him before his death.
On Saturday, Mina said she was able to locate Marcano’s body by tracking where Caballero was on the Friday she disappeared.
Authorities obtained Marcano’s recent cell phone records, which allowed them to track his whereabouts, Mina said.
Police said Caballero had lived in the Tymber Skan Apartments at some point in the past.
