Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes offline will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via Steam on February 26, 2022 in Japan, Square Enix has announced. Users who purchase the PlayStation 4 version will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.
Large-scale expansion downloadable content, Dragon Quest X: The Sleeping Hero & Allies Guided Offline, featuring the same sizable story as the main game, will follow in Spring 2022 for 4,440 yen.

The rise of the five tribes
Astoltia, a world made up of five continents and several islands, is the backdrop for adventure for Dragon Quest X offline. The protagonist goes on an adventure with his companions to save a demon-plagued Astoltia, while traveling through the continents where the five tribes live.
Ogreed – The Ogreed continent is a rugged land of snow-capped mountains and wilderness. It is the homeland of the Ogres, a “people of fire” both powerful and courageous.
You islands – A group of islands surrounded by the sea with a warm climate. It is the homeland of the Wetlings, a “people of the water” who sing songs of love.
Elton – A treasure of nature and owner of the World Tree. It is the homeland of the Elves, a “people of the wind” respectful of nature.
Lead the earth – A land of green plains and hilly areas. It is the homeland of the Poppets, a “people of flowers” who live on laughter and dreams.
Dwachakka – A land of rock and sand where there are ancient ruins. It is the homeland of the Dwarves, a “people of the earth” who respect wealth and technology.
