Emily Ratajkowski says Robin Thicke crossed the line while filming the music video for “Blurred Lines,” a Grammy-nominated song that critics say objectifies women and promotes rape culture.

“Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and strangeness of the hands of a stranger taking my bare breasts from behind,” she wrote. “I instinctively walked away looking at Robin Thicke.

Although the alleged moment made her feel “naked for the first time that day,” the Missing girl The star was “desperate to downplay” the situation. Martel said she responded to the alleged assault by yelling at Thicke, who she said was drinking, adding: “I don’t think he would have done this if he had been sober.”

“Robin apologized sheepishly,” said Martel. “As if he knew it was wrong without realizing how it might have felt for Emily.”
According to Martel, Thicke’s record company has been informed that filming will be halted, although a “very professional” Ratajkowski assured him that “we can continue”.
“We kept going and Emily was phenomenal,” Martel told the Times. “She really is the star of the video. She makes fun of him completely and the masculine gaze with her beautiful form and fierce energy. She’s playful, not flirty. And quite hilarious.”
In her book, Ratajkowski says she didn’t dwell on the alleged incident until she realized that Thicke, now a judge on The masked singer, had blocked her on Instagram.
“With this gesture, Robin Thicke reminded everyone on set that we women are not really responsible,” she says of her experience. “I had no real power as the naked girl dancing in her music video. I was nothing more than the model hired.”
Thicke has yet to publicly respond to Ratajkowski’s claims. Yahoo has contacted their reps for comment and will update with their response.
