The Golden State Warriors have avoided a potential meltdown.

Andrew Wiggins took a COVID-19 vaccine, head coach Steve Kerr told reporters on Sunday. This means he will be cleared to play in Golden State home games.

The NBA has rejected Wiggins’ request for a religious exemption – no major religion prohibits its followers from getting the vaccine – meaning without the vaccine he would not have been available for Golden State’s 41 home games in the regular season and beyond.
