WWE SmackDown Live Results – February 26, 2019: Signature of the contract, Gargano vs Cesaro

Welcome to SmackDown Live.

Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon are in the ring with Rowan and Daniel Bryan as it is the time of the signing of the contract.

Stephanie introduces Daniel Bryan and points out that he is sitting in a leather chair. Daniel will defend the title in twelve days at Fastlane.

Shane presents his opponent, an overnight sensation for eleven years. We see pictures of Kofi's debut in 2008. Shane mentions what Kofi did at the Royal Rumble. Shane has claimed to be Intercontinental Champion several times, as well as US Champion. It is also part of New Day. Shane says we will not neglect this man anymore.

Stephanie mentions that this man was a last minute substitute in a difficult match and won a victory over Daniel Bryan. Then, Kofi almost won the title at the elimination chamber. Stephanie notes that Kofi beat Daniel Bryan again.

Kofi goes to the ring with Xavier Woods and BIg E.

Kofi says it's been eleven years and that all he wanted was a chance. After eleven years, that's what happens. Kofi says he knows that none of this would have been possible without tweets, hashtags, smoke signals and letters. Kofi tells Fastlane he will do what everyone wants him to do. He will beat Daniel Bryan and become the WWE Champion.

Shane asks Daniel to make it official and sign the contract.

Daniel signs the contract and then. . .

Before Kofi can sign the contract, Vince McMahon's music is played and he goes out. Vince says that before the signing of the contract is official, he wants to say how much he appreciates what Kofi has done. However. . To give everyone the best match at the best box office, he replaces Kofi. He names a man more deserving and qualified than Kofi Kingston. . .

Daniel Bryan almost moves to his chair after the announcement.

Kevin goes to the ring, sits down at the table and signs the contract.

New Day leaves the ring and Big E and Xavier are devastated by the news.

We go to the commercial.

We are back and Kevin Owens is at the office with Shane and Stephanie and he says that he knows that they are not involved. Kevin says that he appreciates that Vince understands its importance. Kevin mentions the sufficient look on the faces of Daniel and Rowan. Kevin says he would like to team up with the man who deserves as much as him to face Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, against Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

Match One: Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy

Jeff and Cesaro start things and Cesaro with a wrist lock. Jeff with a wrist lock and Matt immisce in the fingers and goes to the turnbuckles and bangs an arm elbow. Matt works at the shoulder and Cesaro with a kick and European uppercut. Sheamus scores and hits Matt. Sheamus with a knee in the abdomen and Matt with a kick and punches. Jeff joins them and they hit a double elbow on the back and Matt with a fist and Jeff with a fall of the leg. Matt with a fallen leg and Jeff with a whim at Cesaro. Jeff with Poetry in Motion on Cesaro and Sheamus.

Jeff sends Sheamus into the ring fence, then they return to the ring. Jeff with a kick but Sheamus with an Irish whip. Jeff with a boot and he goes to the maneuvers but Cesaro knocks him and Jeff goes to the ground. Cesaro goes to ridicule, makes fun of Matt and hits a leg for a close fall. Sheamus inserts and Jeff blocks a punch and connects with his own punches. Sheamus with a shoulder. Sheamus with a lock on Jeff. Jeff with his elbows and a jaw breaker. Cesaro immisces and stops Jeff. Cesaro with a giant swing to Jeff.

Cesaro with a sniper and he releases the hold. Jeff is sent to the apron by Sheamus and Sheamus with his forearms on his chest. Sheamus with a whim at Jeff and he brings Jeff back into the ring with a reverse suplex for a close fall. Sheamus with an inverted chin lock. Cesaro strikes Jeff then Sheamus and Cesaro with a double clothesline. Cesaro is about to fall. Sheamus hits a forearm and Jeff hits Cesaro and hits Whisper in the Wind on both men. Cesaro and Matt join Matt and Matt with fists and he sends Cesaro to the turnbuckles. Matt with a clothesline removed in the corner but Cesaro escapes the bulldog. Matt with a side effect for a close fall.

Matt goes to the sideboards and hits an elbow for a near fall. Matt strikes Sheamus from the apron and Cesaro from a toe that sends Matt into the strings and Sheamus from a free kick for Cesaro. Sheamus scores and Cesaro jumps on Sheamus and Jeff with a Twist of Fate at Cesaro. Hardy with a rollup on Sheamus. Matt with a Twist of Tate to Sheamus followed by a Jeff Swanton for all three counts.

Winners: Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy

Ricochet talks to Aleister Black about his presence in the ring with the Hardys.

Lana arrives in the locker room and Ricochet asks if they can help her.

Lana says she does not know what he's getting back to. You are neither former champion of the United States nor respected in the locker room.

Ricochet mentions that they beat the Raw Tag team champions. He likes to see the reactions of people who underestimate him. Black says that Lana fears the unknown. What you need to know is written on his flesh. Tonight, Rusev and Nakamura will fade away.

R Truth goes to the ring with Carmella and it's time to participate in the US Title Open Challenge.
