Jennifer Garner shared an embarrassing moment on social media when she sent a selfie to the wrong number while searching for her “Alias” co-star Carl Lumbly.

Over the weekend, Garner shared a screenshot of the posts with the stranger she believed to be Lumbly on Instagram.

She texted, “Carl – it’s Jen G. Here’s the proof.” This was followed by a selfie of her despite the unidentified person immediately responding “wrong number”. Garner explained in the caption that she had already hit send on the selfie before seeing the response.

“You know the one time you take a selfie to prove to someone you’re okay? And get a ‘wrong number’ message the moment it’s aired around the world? Well, that’s humbling, n ‘is not it “, we can read in the caption.

“#IfYouAreWorkingWithCarlLumbly #PleaseTellHimImLookingForHim #BristowAndDixon,” Garner added.

Lumbly and Garner both starred in the spy thriller for five seasons in the early 2000s. His performance in “Alias” earned Garner a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award as well as 4 Primetime Emmy nominations.

For the spy thriller’s 20th anniversary last week, some of the cast and crew celebrated with a reunion. Garner posted a video on social media of old photos of his cast and them during the reunion. Michael Vartan, Merrin Dungey, Kevin Weisman, Gina Torres, Mia Maestro and Victor Garber all made appearances in the video. Lumbly, best known for his role in “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”, was not seen in the video.

Series creator JJ Abrams was also not present, but Garner explained that the reunion was scheduled on a busy night.

On Instagram, the 49-year-old actress captioned the reunion video: “Since the show ended in April 2005, meeting a member of Alias’ cast or crew has always leads to this question: when are you going to get everyone together for a reunion? The 20th anniversary seemed like an excuse like any other, so the call was made: a reunion is taking place, pass it! “

Garner also said she will use the anniversary as an excuse to join TikTok.
