On mobile devices, Prime Video does not always select the best possible video quality. If you’re frustrated with the inferior image that doesn’t look great on your high-res display, you can force Prime Video to always show you the best videos possible.
To do this, open Prime Video and tap My stuff in the lower right corner of the screen. Then press the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Under Streaming and downloading, faucet Broadcast quality and select the right option for you. Keep in mind that better quality streams consume more data, so you’ll need to find a good balance between your internet speed and data caps.
Go back to Streaming and downloading settings page and select Download quality. Here you can choose Better to make sure you download the highest quality videos, as long as your device has enough space.
