The final DLC reveal for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming soon, and Game Director Masahiro Sakurai thinks anyone who enjoys video games should go online, even if you’re not playing Smash.
Sakurai posted a comment on how this event will appeal to all video game fans via his Twitter, saying “whether you are a Smash Bros. gamer or just love games, be sure to log in! “

This isn’t the first time Sakurai has claimed the revelation will have more universal appeal, calling it “game celebration“in a Tweet posted this weekend.
While this has fueled speculation about who the final fighter will be – with names like Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Master Chief from Halo among the most popular guesses – Sakurai has given no direct indication of who will join the fight. The latest live stream of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is scheduled for release October 5 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m.ET on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. The 40-minute event will feature character reveal, a full walkthrough of their abilities, new Mii costumes, and more. Each DLC character pack includes a new scene and music, so those belonging to the new mystery fighter will likely be revealed as well. Finally, the official release date of the Challenger Pack 11 – the latest DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – has been confirmed by Nintendo as part of the presentation.
