The Epic Games Store is finally getting a Unified Achievement System. The system is called Epic Achievements, and it will be added to a few games starting next week, Epic announced on Monday.

Epic Achievements will be available first for Rocket league, Underworld, pillars of Eternity, Humanity, Zombie army 4, Defense grid, and a few other titles that Epic has yet to announce. More developers will have access to the tools soon, which means that even more games should get their official epic achievements before the end of the year.

The details page for each game with Epic Achievements will display all achievements, as well as the progress towards their unlocking. Achievements will also grant XP which improves Epic accounts, allowing players to show off their achievements to their friends. The rarer and more difficult the achievement, the more experience it will bring you. Here is a list of achievement levels and how much XP they can grant.

  • Bronze – 5-45 XP
  • Silver – 50-95 XP
  • Gold – 100-200 XP
  • Platinum – 250 XP

This isn’t the first time games on the Epic Games Store have had achievements, but it is the first time that those achievements will be part of a unified system that will be tracked outside of each individual game. Fortunately, all of the developer achievements, which were previously exclusive to specific games, will still be available in all of the games they were a part of.

In fact, according to Epic, if a game previously featured developer achievements and moved to the new epic achievements, all progress will be carried over immediately and you will get the XP you already earned.
