Meghan McCain has a few words for Democrats on the recent treatment of Arizona Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema.
Sunday, left activists confronted Sinema in a classroom at Arizona State University in Phoenix and proceeded to film her and follow her entering a public bathroom. Although filming someone in a bathroom without their consent is illegal in Arizona, protesters insisted on forcing Sinema to support President Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan, which progressives are pushing to include amnesty for illegal immigrants.
This follows backlash from media pundits and Democratic politicians criticizing Sinema for jeopardizing the spending bill.
McCain, whose father John McCain was once a senator from Arizona, wrote to the Daily Mail about how this shows how “toxic intolerant Democrats” have become.

McCain explained that while former President Trump was “horrible, trying, emotional and chaotic,” the Liberals have now become “a mirror version of Trump and Trumpism – the reverse of his mania and toxic divide.”

“How disgusting the student protesters have become that they fail to see that harassing a woman entering a private space is inhuman, stupid and cruel – not to mention a crime, under Arizona law.” The other thing I thought about was MP Maxine Watters sadly encouraging Democrats during the Trump years to harass Trump administration officials in public, ”McCain wrote.
This was in reference to Rep. Maxine Watters, D-Calif., 2018 remark, “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we need to show up. And if you see someone from this Cabinet in a restaurant, in a big store, at a gas station, you go out and you create a crowd. And you push them away. And you tell them that they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.
This, McCain noted, highlighted a “new shift that we haven’t come back to” in political rhetoric.
“The left does not complain about the character and personality of Donald Trump when it sits down and remains silent about the intensely growing harassment against people who break with the beliefs of the progressive left in the country,” wrote McCain.
She ended by expressing her own support for Sinema fighting against the intimidation by maintaining her opposition to the protests.

Sinema and Sen. Joe Manchin, DW.Va., have faced outrage from fellow Democrats and Progressives over their refusal to approve Biden’s $ 3.5 trillion spending plan. Their opposition threatened to prevent Democrats from getting enough votes to pass.
