It was Britney Spears night on Monday Dancing with the stars, where the show paid homage to the pop star with some of the outfits worn by host Tyra Banks and contestants, and using many of Spears’ classic songs for the dances.
Some home viewers loved the theme of the night and took to Twitter with their satisfaction.
But many were just too distracted by the music, as all of the songs were performed by the house band. This is because playing the actual songs would probably cost too much money for the license fees. So viewers wondered things like, “How did DWTS plan an entire Britney Spears night and not secure a single song?” “
While this has definitely been a big year for Spears and his fans, after the #FreeBritney movement resulted in the end of his father’s guardianship, it doesn’t look like another Britney Spears themed night on Dancing with the stars is something fans will say, “give me, give me more,” see you very soon.
Dancing with the stars aired on Monday at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
