Metroid Dread launches in a few days on Friday, October 8, and if you’ve got any old amiibo figures lying around, you’ll be happy to know you can use them in the game.
Some of the Metroid figures from the Super Smash Bros. (Samus, Dark Samus and Ridley) are compatible with Metroid Dread, alongside the new Samus and EMMI figures released especially for the game. The old figures will work as follows:
- Samus (Super Smash Bros.) – Once a day, replenish vital energy
- Dark Samus / Ridley (Super Smash Bros.) – Once a day, replenish missile ammunition
As it turns out, all three of these figures were restocked on the My Nintendo Store for £ 12.99 each (which is a bit cheeky considering the original Samus launched at £ 10.99 at the time). Still, they’re there if you want them for your collection:
