Netflix
DaBaby killing a man wasn’t even as offensive as lashing out at the LGBT community, which torpedoed his career … a disparity Dave chappelle said does not go well with him.
The comedian has a new stand-up special on Netflix, and right off the bat … he’s starting to joke about DB falling out of favor after throwing a homophobic rant, which Dave notes might have been more of a cardinal sin than it actually was. end someone’s life.
Of course, he’s talking about a court case DaBaby was locked in a few years ago – when cops say he was involved in a fatal shooting at a Walmart in North Carolina … something DB himself- even said was done in self-defense, and for which he skated.
Roll hard
Check out what Dave is doing here… he’s suggesting that pissing off the gay community these days is a far bigger deal – and might end your career faster – than actually killing.
It’s all ironic, of course, but DC makes a point that it seems to believe… that what DaBaby did wasn’t much of a big deal – given its overall history. Some might agree, but others definitely don’t – like what DaBaby said to Rolling Loud was, in fact, awful.

Dave also acknowledges this … saying the guy even crossed a line for him personally – seeing how Dave says he often cracks at the expense of the LGBT crowd. But, from (his) perspective, Dave thinks something is wrong with the severe fallout that DB has faced.
There are more jokes Dave makes about gay people … distinguishing between the “old school” ones of the Stonewall era and those of today – which he considers too sensitive.
