Rockies to extend CJ Cron

Rockies agree to overtime with first baseman CJ Cron, by Jon Heyman of MLB Network (Twitter link). Jeff Passan from ESPN tweeted recently the Rockies and Cron, a client of Moye Sports Associates, were discussing a deal.

This is the second extension of the day for the Rox, who has also just locked up on the right Antonio Senzatela on a five-year contract. Unlike Senzatela, who was already under the squad for two more seasons through refereeing, Cron was to become a free agent after the World Series. However, both sides had publicly expressed interest in holding a reunion, and it looks like they will before Cron hits the open market and hears about other clubs.
