Several people are injured after a shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington, police confirm.
Mansfield’s ISD confirmed in a letter to parents that police are investigating an active shooter situation in high school.
The letter adds that students and staff are currently locked in their classrooms / offices and no visitors are allowed at this time.
NBC 5 crews saw officers with long guns running from the parking lot to the school.
The school is currently in lockdown.
Timberview High School is part of the Mansfield Independent School District.
Parents are invited to come to the student nutrition center located at 151 Mansfield Webb Road. The district will then work to transport high school students to that location.
NBC 5 has teams on their way to the stage and will update this story as more information becomes available.
