Wild Card ‘Masked Singer’ performer has Rolodex of famous friends

Wednesday night’s “Masked Singer” joker was able to put on a full performance in just one day, in part because they have a phone full of heavy hitters from the music world.

The singer will appear as Pepper when they take the stage, but came to “TMZ Live” without the big red costume – but still hiding their identities – to tell us the crazy story of how they ended up in. series.

After another competitor had to give up, the producers called our hot-headed friend here … giving them very little time to pull themselves together. Pepper says it sparked a 24-hour whirlwind filled with learning dance moves, costume testing, and the big hurdle of getting permission to sing famous songs.

Pep definitely made that last part – getting the songs out – was the easiest, as it turns out that they know a great group of artists … maybe even Bob dylan, based on a little joke they dropped with us.

Look, we couldn’t figure it out, but there was a lot of clues – so see if you can figure it out. Either way, Pepper will be making her debut in “The Masked Singer” tonight.
